PUBLIC SAFETY & OPERATIONS • CROW WING COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Crow Wing County Public Safety Answering Point
Mission-Critical Technology. Real-Time Communication. Reliable Performance.
● THE PROJECT
Modernizing Emergency Response Operations
EPA Audio Visual, Inc. partnered with the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office to reconfigure and expand the audiovisual systems within its newly renovated emergency dispatch center.
Located in a repurposed section of the county's former jail, the upgraded facility required reliable, high-performance technology to support real-time monitoring, communication, and emergency response coordination.
The goal was to create a centralized, technology-driven environment that improves visibility, streamlines operations, and supports collaboration among dispatch personnel.
Connected Systems.
Critical Communication.
EPA integrated a 24-foot-wide video wall featuring twelve 55-inch LG displays, allowing dispatch personnel to monitor multiple information sources simultaneously, including security cameras, traffic feeds, and real-time deputy locations.
Powered by a Crestron DigitalMedia system, the video wall supports flexible content routing and display configurations, including the ability to expand individual images across multiple screens.
Integrated audio reinforcement, digital signal processing, and customized touchscreen controls provide intuitive system management throughout the dispatch center. An automatic audio-ducking feature reduces program audio when emergency dispatch calls are received, helping prioritize critical communication.
Designed for continuous, 24/7 operation, the completed system provides a dependable, centralized platform that helps dispatch teams monitor, share information, and coordinate responses when every second matters.
